About LDS

LDS Theatre Arts is a family run dance school that has been teaching young dancers for over 12 years. We offer a high standard of teaching in all aspects of dance in a warm, friendly environment. We have created a happy and caring environment where children can develop sound foundations for their social skills and growth in self-confidence whilst building a strong technique in dance.

We strive to enable every student to reach their full potential. Every individual is different and each dancer will develop in different ways and at varying rates. We nurture the student’s full potential by addressing the needs of the individual alongside the development of group skills. Every individual is valued.

Dance can bring us far more than simply physical skills. We aim to cultivate self-awareness and self-esteem, self-motivation and dedication. We seek from the outset to encourage students to develop their expressive and dramatic qualities alongside their technical dancing skills as an important part of each class. Students grow in character through regular opportunities to perform, and we offer a wide range of genres in order that we may equip young dancers with a versatility of skills to meet the multiple demands made on professional dancers.

We believe in enjoyment, achievement, and fulfilment for all.

All of our teachers are professionally trained and qualified and DBS checked and safeguarding trained.

Miss Anna

I have been teaching at LDS Theatre Arts since 2018 after graduating from dance college in Leeds. I also attended LDS as a pupil from when it first opened until I moved away to train professionally. I have always loved the LDS family feel and was delighted to return as a teacher. It’s a privilege to be able to share what I have learnt with the pupils and see them grow and flourish as dancers as well as people.
